I have a 1992 Merc 190 2.6 with 95,000 miles and last week the left side of the instrument panel (fuel gague, oil gague) just stopped working. The only fuse panel I find is under the hood near the firewall and it doesn't appear that any are out.

Any thoughts?

That problem is a fuse problem. Look in the owners manual some cars have more then one fuse box.

I have a C280 that has constant instrument problems speedometer sometimes doesn't work, fuel gauge is questionable, climate control system with as failed twice the cost of $800 each. I think if you want quality get a Lexis, Benz is purely garbage

Suggested Repair

Treat the dead fuel and oil gauges as a fuse issue. Check the owner's manual for additional fuse boxes, since the under-hood panel may not be the only one.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190 2.6 reported that the left instrument panel gauges (fuel and oil) stopped working, and no blown fuses were found in the under-hood fuse panel. The expert said this is a fuse problem and advised checking the owner's manual because some cars have more than one fuse box. A later comment about a different Mercedes was not relevant to the diagnosis.
