Headlight lens replacement

I need to change the headlight lens on my 2000 c230. It looks pretty easy. It looks like I just pop off the clips and replace except for one clip next to turn signal lens. Do I have to remove the side lens in order to replace? ?

First check to make sure the lens is available. If and I mean IF you can get one ask the dealer to print job # AR82.10-P-1829EB which will explain the operation. You may be able to buy the lens on-line. However there is a US law that was put into place (about 1993) preventing replacement of these due to the fact that the reflectors were/are damaged creating reduced light output.

I guess that explains why the dealer wanted to charge me $700 for a whole new headlight assembly. Thanks, I got the lens and replaced it.
