Blower Repair on MB380SE, 1985.....126ENGINE

The blower for Heat and A/C does not work. The pushbuttons cause relay action in the Blower Control Unit. The blower control unit was replaced. 12V was applied to the blower motor and the fan worked. All fuses are okay including that on the fender. The car is an 1985, 380se, MB with an 126 8cyl engine.It has 175000 miles. It appears as though a Control Voltage is missing to the blower. CAN YOU HELP. Thanks.

first : 380 is the engine ( 3.8 ) 126 is the body style, have you cked for power to the motor? motor is under hood in the firewall
