2006 Other Mercedes Benz Models Not starting in the morning

2006 Other Mercedes Benz Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My 2006 S350 would not start in the morning. The mechanics replaced th ignition unit, and it still would not start only in the morning. They next updated the computer system, then it started. Was it necessary to replace the ignition unit?
