Mercedes R350. Need front & back brake pads, and front discs. How much should it cost. Dealership is quoting $1140. Not 4 wheel drive.

This is probably about right for the dealership and this vehicle. They are probably charging about 3 hours labor @ $100 an hour. Rotors are probably $500-600 and the pads will run about $120 a set.

I got a quote from pep boys for 360.00 to replace pads and reface rotors, decided to do it myself, paid 140.00 for pads front and back, it was very simple and took about 1.5 hours---- 1 issue, dash indicator saying I need brakes is still on, trying to figure out how to reset it.

When you replaced the pads did you replace the wear sensors? If these are missing or used you will have a brake warning in the dash. I don't know if pep boys carries these but you can get them from the dealer.
