2004 Other Mercedes Benz Models Hood Open Warning Light

2004 MERCEDES BENZ

It just started, but when I go from a stop to driving from a light or just starting out from home the hood open warning light comes on. I checked, opened and closed and the hood is not open. What could be causing this to happen? Any help is appreciated.

This can be a failed hood latch sensor which is part of the latch assembly. They will go out from time to time causing this complaint.
