Make sure that both latches are closing. You can ensure proper latch function by manually closing both latches. Open the hood and with a screw driver press both hood latches closed. Now check your dash for any warning. If the warning is gone you can be assured that one side of the hood is not closing fully. It the warning is still there your problem is more than likely a failed hood latch sensor. Note: remember to release your hood latches with the hood release before closing your hood.
