1999 Other Mercedes Benz Models rear brake light

I have a 1999 E320 4 matic wagon. The rear brake lght is out, replaced bulb, replaced bulb holder. The light is still out. Checked fuse OK. The rest of the rear lights light. Question? Do I have to replace the rear brake light. Thanks Brad!

This may be a wiring issue. Check the wiring where it comes out of the hatch and goes into the body of the vehicle, you may have a broken wire here.
