This model is a" Kompressor " c 230 .
My engine light came on .
I can reset it by disconnecting the neg. batt. cable and the light stay's off for a while , but comes back on . I had a seal problem in the valvecover gasket's Plug hole , which let oil get to the plug .
That's repaired .
Never had a code established .
Other tips available ?
Thanks
Dieter

Hi there,

I would still get the scan done, as the check light will store a code in the memory, do this before removing the battery again, post the code or get your mechanic to advise you on the next step.

Hi , this is Dieter
Found the problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Valvecovergasket leak in second plughole from frt of engine . The plughole had about an inch of rngine oil in it .
Oil entered through preesed in seal around tubilare guide for sparkplug . Used black silicon to seal , after good cleaning with starterfluid etc.
So far , so good . I am leaving the plate cover off to check success here and there .
Thanks for the care
Dieter
