I OWN A MERCEDES V280 PETROL AMBIENT
IT STARTS OK BUT LACKS POWER THROUGH THE GEARS AND ONLY CAN GET A TOP END OF 65-70 MPH THERE IS ALSO A FUNNY NOISE LIKE IT IS SUCKING AIR WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.
HAVE ALREADY CHANGED
NEW SPARK PLUGS
AIR MASS METER
AIR LEAK AROUND AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD
SO FAR HAS COST £250 WITH NO IMPROVMENT
MY MECHANIC IS NOW ON ABOUT NEW THROTTLE VALVE ACCUATOR AT A COST OF OVER £400
HAS ANYONE ANY IDEAS PLEASE

Sounds like you may have a restrictive exhaust system. Try loosening the exhaust system at the manifolds/head pipes, so as to let the exhaust out before it goes through any exhaust system. It will be loud, but if the exhaust is restricted, it will have its power back
