HI.I want to change my old 1982 mercedes benz 300d 5 cylinder engine Transmission fluid. But I DO NOT know HOW MUCH fluid I need to buy to change all of it.Please let me know the rith amount of fluid I need to buy.

after you have dropped the transmission and change the filter and hopefully cleaned it spic and span, do not attempt to start it until you have a lease 4qt in the transmission, that transmission takes Dextron I, II, or III, once you have started it, shifted the transmission through all the gears while you are idling, then check the fluid and fill it, and repeat the procedure.
