2002 Mercedes Benz ML500 ABS/ESP light, Check engine light

The ABS/ESP lights are up and some noise is coming either from the tires or underneath the car. Now the check engine light is up and it doesn't go away and I have sent it to two different mechanics and each of them have told me two different things. Please any advice and I don't have a manufacters warranty so I'm paying out of pocket.

Go to Autozone its a free public service and have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.
