2003 Mercedes Benz ML320 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

check engine light is on and it keeps cutting out when you try to accellerate.

This sounds like a failed Mass Airflow Sensor. The cutting out is due to the sensor signal being lost during acceleration.
