1998 Mercedes Benz ML320 All Wheel Drive Automatic 240000 miles

driver door lock was going crazy each time doors were to lock, now driver door is locked and willnot unlock electronically or with key or manually? where do I start?

Sounds like the door lock actuator may be bad.You will need to remove the door panel to get to the actuator so that you can remove it to see if the lock will then work manually (with key) if not the lock assembly may be bad, causing the power lock to freak out
