2005 Mercedes Benz E500 no cold air

my air conditioning system dosen't blow cold air.the blower is blowing outside temp air.I checked it with the pressure gauge and it reads high up on the warning.I tried to add coolant but it wouldn't take any.The compressor appears to be rotating.
What else could be the problem?
