1999 Mercedes Benz E320 NO STEERING

I was driving and suddenly lost all steering ability, the steering wheel is very hard to turn, wheels does not turn. Fluid level good. What can be the cause please?

You may have a failed power steering pump. This will drastically reduce the steering ability with no fluid loss. Hae you noticed any abnormal noises prior to the failure?
