1995 Mercedes Benz E320 Tachometer

The engine is racing while it is in park or drive and even when my foot is on the brake. The tachometer is going crazy and then the engine stalls.

This may be a vacuum issue. Open the hood of your vehicle and carefully look over your vaccum lines. Below is a diagram for them.

Look over all the lines and make sure there are no dry rotted, broken, or cracked lines. This would be the first place to start with this issue as a vacuum leak can definately cause this sort of irradic behavior
