I have to remove the head on my 94 e320 and I am down to the cam chain. There is a cam chain guide that is keeping the head from lifting off the block via a small pin that goes through the guide. I need to know if I have to take the harmonic ballancer pulley off as well as the rest of the front end of the engine in order to release the guide from the head or is there a simple trick or step that I am missing. Any info would be appreicated.
