What can badly go wrong with the car if I continue to drive the car with worn out break pads?

Well the obvious result would be a brake failure leading to an accident on the road. As far as mechanical issues, it will dig into the rotor surface and cause your vehicle to start pulling to the right or left. You should never drive with severly worn brake pads.
