This could be a fuel delivery issue or a sensor failure issue. You may have either a plugged fuel filter or failing fuel pump which will cause poor performance and stalls. With that said, failure of key sensors like the MAP or Crankshaft Position sensor can cause intermittent stalls as you have described. I wonder, do you have any warning lights on in the dash.
