1999 Mercedes Benz C280 Replace driver side mirror glass

Can you tell me how to install the replacement glass?

The current glass is not broken but it will not pass State inspection in NJ

I need to replace the glass.

Does it have a gasket? If so how do I remove and reinstall, etc??

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated Mirror... Removal, installation 1...Fold exterior mirror toward front On vehicles with code 500b, fold in against side window 2...Unhook catch spring (2) or retaining wire (3) with screwdriver 3...Fold exterior mirror back and remove covering (1) Installation: Move catch spring (2) or retaining wire (3) to initial position 4...Reinstall in opposite order Installation: Insert retaining lug (4) into retaining pocket (5)

Mirror Glass .. Removal, installation 1...Remove cover on outside mirror AR88.70-P-9040E 2...Open retaining spring (3) 3...Remove mirror glass (1) from drive 4...Pull off connector (2) 5...Remove mirror glass (1) 6...Reinstall in opposite order Pay attention to support spring (4) when attaching.
