2000 Mercedes Benz A140 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 100000 miles

Hi, im wondering if u can help me. On my dash board im noticing the sign of an engine(engine icon). Also the car drives but cuts out every so often. What is the problem?

With newer cars like this the engine light can me just about anything. With the car cutting out you defiently have some type of problem. The best thing to do would be to take it to a local garage where they can hook the car up to a scanner. The scanner will check why the kight is coming on and give the guys at the repair shop an indication of what to check out
