1990 Mercedes Benz 560sel engine stalling out of the blue

Engine Performance problem
1990 Mercedes Benz 560sel V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car has 120000 miles / we replaced the fuel pumps / new pumps are workiing fuel is supplied to the injection distributor / spark is present but engine will not fire up.
Please give me your input.

Do you have injector pulse while cranking?
Are your spark plugs wet (fouled)? Please advise.
