1989 Mercedes Benz 560sel rear shocks

1989 Mercedes Benz 560sel V8

i took out the back of the back seat but i cant find the top screw for the rear shocks. how do i get to it to replace the rear shocks

there are 2 plastic covers covering the top of the rear shocks. removing those covers will reveal the shocks.
