1989 Mercedes Benz 560sel fuel

try starting and it starts then dies tried several times then changed the fuel filter but still have the same problem, had new fuel pump installed about 3000 miles back, i'm baffled- help!

it could be several things, first of all check your electronic control module for the distributor which is located at the right front fender, by the radiator you will see it it has two connections sometimes those connections get corrosion, it may have burned it up, also remove the distributor cap and make sure there is no corrosion. It may be the engine computer also.
