How do you change the power steering fluid filter and what kind of fluid do you use? While I'm at it, what kind of transmission fluid do you use and is it the same for the power steering?

Hello –

According to the manual there is never a service time that you change the power steering filter.

The information I have on it only shows during a pump tear down.

Both the transmission and power steering can take Dextron……or you can go to the Benz dealer and use theirs.

Hello - Also, it looks like you may have a recall on your vehicle. The dealer may fix this for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if this applies to you.
