I recently bought an '86 560 SEL. At first, the blower for the heating and A/C blew, but very faintly. At times, it would come on, especially if it was not too ot outside. Now the blower does not work at all. Any help at all would be great. Thanks

blower motor may be shot but first start with checking blower motor fuse and relay. if OK check a/c control switches and wiring

I own one of these vehicles and I too had this problem .
Your best bet is to go to or contact a salvage yard and buy the whole control panel from a wrecked vehicle. Inside of the panel is a circuit board and a usually the control wheels go bad at the point where they contact the control on the circuit board. A beautiful used one cost me $25.00 . If you cannot find one you can contact me by e-mail and I will give you my phone number and I will get you one. But I will have to charge you a little extra because I will have to go remove the part myself and send it to you . I do this for alot of people so it is no trouble. Just so you don't think I am trying to scam you .When you call I will give you references to call.
