My trusted and respected MB repair shop says that they do not turn rotors when needed, they MUST be replaced. Is this true? I've never had a MB whose rotors could not be turned. It seems to me that replacement would only be prudent if excessive wear were indicated...not normal driving wear.

Hi there,

I think that MB recommend replacing rotors at each pad change, you do not have to do this and you can machine them if required, they have a min thickness but if they are below this measurement they then must be replaced.
