1998 Mercedes Benz 500sl

Hi
I recently bought a Mercedes that didnt have an owners manual. When I go to start it up a light on the dash comes on that shows a little clock, a wrench and 730... do you happen to know what that means and what needs to be checked out?

This is your service counter/reminder. If it appears to have a single clock next to the number it is for an "A" Service. If it has a double clock it is for a "B" Service. The number, 730, represents how many miles you have until the next service is due. The "A" and "B" services are two types oil changes and inspections MB recommends. When you have one of these services performed the technician should reset your service counter, which will then count down to your next service.
