Car Stats: 1. Recently installed a new coil, points & resistors. Also installed used fuel pump because a mechanic stated that my pump wasn't putting out enough pressure once the car was turned off.

Yesterday I tried to start my car and it wouldn't start.
The car seemed like it wasn't getting any gas.
This is what I did: 1. I unplugged the hoses it fuel delivery hose and placed the end in a bottle and cranked the engine, no gas came out of either hose.

Why isn't the fuel pump working, could it be the fuel pump relay?

When you turn key to run -do hear the fuel pump come on? If not could be the fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse. If it comes on no fuel pressure the pump is defective-
