Does the Neutral safety Switch have anything to do with causing the car to stall out on the highway?

This happen today in my car. The car stalled out while in motion. It would not start in park, but it would start back up in neutral. I was able to drive it back to the house, but it nearly stalled out again.

Yes, it can indeed cause the vehicle's engine to stall if the switch is failing.
