2001 Mercedes Benz 320e check engine lights go on

When idling at red light, rpm's get so low the engine stalls so I have to put in neutral. Also the engine is running with temperature over 80 which is probably too high. What do you think problem are?

2001 Mercedes Benz 320e check engine lights go on. You need to get the computer scanned for code/s to find out why the light came on. You have a problem within the engine management system. Autozone provides this service free. This is your starting point
