I drove away with the gas nozzle in still in my tank filler hose. Now my car leaks gas. I think I need to replace the filler tube.

I can't find a free manual or a manual at the library and I don't have the money to buy one at the moment.

I need guidance on what the problem could be and help determining if I could fix this myself or if I need to raise money for a mechanic to fix it. Manual pages would be ideal.

I'd donate more if I had more right now. Sorry!

Hello - Also, it looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Is it likely that the nozzle gasket and guide sleeve are the only problem? I can't find a picture of the tank anywhere on the web. Do you have a diagram of the whole tank? I'm trying to figure out if the filler tube is likely damaged too. Any feedback?
