1991 Mercedes Benz 300se Water pump

I am trying to change my water pump.
Could you please walk me through the steps necessary? And do I have to replace the rigid water return pipe?

WATER PUMP
Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery terminal. Place hood in vertical position. Drain coolant. Remove air cleaner fresh air intake hose. Remove fan and fan clutch assembly. Loosen pulley bolts for fan clutch and water pump.
Remove accessory drive belt. Remove pulley bolts for fan clutch and water pump. Remove pulleys. Remove shield under vehicle covering engine. Remove bolts attaching A/C compressor to engine. Set A/C compressor aside with hoses attached.
Remove tandem pump mounting bolts. Remove coolant pipe in front of distributor assembly. Disconnect coolant hose from thermostat housing. Disconnect coolant hose located below thermostat housing.
Disconnect ignition cable from bracket. Place tandem pump (lines connected) with support aside. Loosen clamps for small coolant hose between coolant pump and engine.
Disconnect small oil line for self-leveling suspension near thermostat housing and plug (if equipped). Remove water pump mounting bolts. Remove water pump. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW seals when installing water pump.
