My 93 300E makes a funny rumbling noise (simiilar to loose lug nuts) when accelerating hard from a stop. (not tire spinning acceleration) The noise stops if I let up on gas and there is no noise when I start out slower. Any ideas would give me a start.
Thanks!

it sounds like your lead foot has ruined one of your rear axle CV joints, it will only make a noise under acceleration, when you are coasting ( I doubt you know what that is, It's called cruising) it will make no noise at all, so take another test drive, and try to put it in neutral, if the noise goes away, it is your CV axle.
