1984 Mercedes Benz 300sd Two Wheel Drive Automatic 189000 miles

I'm having trouble wiyh the locking system . i think it runs on a vacuum and it seems to be weaking. When i open the drivers door it doesn't unlock yhe other doors, or when i lock the driver dooor it doesn't lock the other doors, sometimes. How does this system work and where is it?

you are correct, it works on vacuum, the small hoses next to your master cylinder that go inside the cabin are the lines to your locking system, check them and make sure they are in good condition, also install a gauge. Make sure you are getting vacuum into the cabin.

Agree completely with the first answer, but I'd like to offer a little more help, I hope. Check out: www.mercedessource.com and you can get a complete words and pix booklet showing and telling you everything to do, where it's at, and even have those tiny little parts for a most reasonable price plus a support group if you have more questions.
