1991 Mercedes Benz 300e Stearing wheel and ignition locked

I am unable to unlock my stearing wheel and key ignition will not turn in the ignition. What should I do? I have no owners manual and car was purchaced from a private owner.

Help!!!!!!

It is possible that you have a failed steering wheel lock. This will need to be fixed at a shop as it may be necessary to drill out the steering lock to get it out. These do fail from time to time. You may also have a failed ignition switch which could also lock this up.
