I need to know how to replace the A/C compressor. What steps do I need to take?

Hi there,

The refrigerant will have to be removed, don't just crack a line, it's dangerous stuff. with the system empty, un do the two hoses and plug them, disconnect the clutch withe and remove the drive belt, un bolt the compressor from the mounting bracket and remove, when re fitting new "O' ring seals should be used on the hoses, and the system should be vacuumed down first, it is also a good idea to replace the receiver dryer at the same time and make sure that the comp has oil in it.
