1987 Mercedes Benz 300dt Windshield wiper stuck out

1987 Mercedes Benz 300dt 260000 miles

I moved the windshield wiper blade away from the glass to more easily scrape off the ice from our recent Ohio ice storm. Now I can't get the blade to go back into position. Is there a lever or release that has to be pressed? Or do you think there's just some packed ice in the way somewhere in the assembly?

most likely you are correct, they are frozen, take a little warm water and poured on the wiper blades arms and see if you can move them
