1992 Mercedes Benz 300d AC compressor not going on

My AC worked perfectly until a few weeks ago when it suddenly stopped cooling. The blower motor continued but the compressor stopped working. In a day or two it started again and worked perfectly, again, until a few days ago when it stopped again. This time it has not come back on. The compressor does not seem to be engaging. What do you thnk is wrong? Fuse? Relay? ???

Hi there, check for low refrigerant, as the low pressure switch may be shutting down the system, start here.
