Electrical problem
1982 Mercedes Benz 300d Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

The rear passenger side door electric window will go down, but not up. Is there a way to confirm it's the motor? The other electric windows in the car all go up and down fine. Also, how can I put the window back up in the mean time? It's only down 4 inches now. Many thanks.

this is a common problem, but I've never seen a window regulator go bad in a Mercedes, the problem is probably the switch, you can remove both switches from the consul, and plug in the other side to roll the window backup, you will need to disassemble the switch that does not work and clean all the garbage out of the, and it will work again I've done it to my Mercedes now about 50 times with all my kids throw on all their garbage over my switches, if you need help disassembling it let me know.
