Good day my car ran out of water at one point apparently without my knowledge and then all of a sudden stopped and wouldnt start..I tried putting water into it but the water just came straight out of a leak underneath..I found out after checking the dipstick that the water hadnt mixed with the oil..so now the question is if I buy the top gasket will the water leakage stop?? Thank you in advance

If you locate the leak and repair the problem the leak should stop. I would also replace the thermostat.
