1985 Mercedes Benz 190e 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I've somehow managed to place a diesel fuel distributor on a unleaded gas engine. Should I change the fuel distributor back to the original gas distributor.

Either your car is a diesel or a petrol and you have a totally different system on each. You must be confused.

Try and describe exactly what has happened, petrol & diesel fuel supply & delivery components are not interchangeable at all, a pic of the parts will help us understand your concerns.
