Backup Camera replacement compatibility?

Hello!
So, I just got a new Alpine INE-W970HD radio receiver to replace the stock one.
But the mechanic who put it in didn't hook up the backup camera. After telling him it he said that it wouldn't work with the new receiver, and I'd have to get a new one.
would something like this Alpine HCE-C1100 fit the vehicle or if there's a better option I should be looking at.
The image isn't of my car specifically but it's the best image that shows where the camera is located on the vehicle.

Most of the time the back-up camera will not work with an aftermarket radio unless it specifically says it will for your make and model FYI. Each of these systems is different so it is rare that they will work. The Alpine HCE-C1100 is a compatible backup camera for the Alpine INE-W970HD receiver, so it could be a good option to consider.
