Media player not connecting to phone

Hi, I have a Ford Ka Titanium and am trying to figure out why my phone does not connect to the media player whilst plugged in via usb port, i do not have the aux setting so it is just USB, i have a samsung galaxy edge and it sometimes connects but other times nothing would happen? any help, thanks.

Hello Jasgeary!

Sorry to hear that you are having connectivity issues with Ford Sync! While there is nothing that documents why the USB disconnects and connects randomly I can tell you that I had a Ford F-150 with the same sync system that did the same exact thing. From what I can gather from people I talk to and things I have read, it seems like that is just the nature of the beast with the Ford Sync system. Suffice it to say the system is just not very good. The thing that worked about 70% of the time for me was to load all my music on a USB thumb drive. If you are going to do that make sure the thumb drive is formatted in FAT 32 and all the songs are MP3 (Sync doesn't recognize anything else.)
