I've got a 97 mazda b2300 that will not stay running. There are no trouble codes, and I have checked all sensors, iac, changed the timing belt because the crank was off 8 cegrees, and still it won't stay running. If I hold the gas pedal down to try and make it idle it will die down and backfire through the intake then shut off.I'm sure my timing marks are correct it did the same thing before I changed the belt. Please help I dont know what else to check.

I had a mazda with the same problem almost exactly. It ended up being an air flow meter.
