I have an 01 Mazda B4000, which runs fine after the garage replaced my Mass flow sensor and Throttle Position sensor.
However, they say that my Fuel pump Regulator is runningtoo lean and it'll be another $300.00 to fix it. The truck seems to run fine.

How can I tell if my FPR is bad?
Can I replace it with a cheaper universal type?

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge while engine is running if its maintaining the regulated fuel pressure and when the pressure regulator vacuum hose is disconnected and plugged the pressure should rise to 8-10psi its doing its job-
