When I have the right signal on and depress the brakes the signal stops. Also the right signal indicator light goes on when I use the brakes. The signal will work fine if the breaks are not depressed. Is this a short? Bad ground? How do I located it an fix? Or could it be a relay or fuse?

Ok well it could be either the brake light switch or the turn signal comination switch. If you have a digital multi meter then we can run a couple of test to check. Let me know if you have a meter and we will go from there.

I will go pick one up today. Let me know what I have to do.

PS if the "turn signal comination switch" is the one mounted on the steering column I have already changed this.

Ok then the combo switch is new. Does this have trailer light connectors under it? Are the wires all good? It was an exact fit type wasn't it?

No trailer light connectors or harness.

Flasher is new also.

If its a wiring problem how do you suggest I locate it. I have a digital multimeter.

Ok does this do this if the headlights are on? See the system is tied together at the park light relay and the headlight switch. If you would check fuse number 3 make sure it is good. The grounds are all tied together at the licence plate light on the left side so make sure that is clean and has a good contact. Lets start there and see what you find. Get back to me ok.
