Hello! Here is my question. My truck sounds like it is glugging as it accellerates, as if you used the "guh" sound to help describe the sound of a vehicle going faster(i.e. g-g-g-rooom). My idle is lower by 300-400RPM, and I have a definite loss of power. I have changed the plugs and wires, as well as both O2 sensors and the fuel filter. I recenty had a check engine light that described a "too lean mixture". I cleaned my MAS sensor, and now the glugging is worse. I don't consider myself an idiot, but I can't figure this one out. Can you help?

I recenty had a check engine light that described a "too lean mixture".

This means there is too much air and/or not enough fuel.

* Low fuel pressure due to a weak pump or leaky fuel pressure regulator. (use a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure at idle)

* Dirty fuel injectors. (try cleaning the injectors)

* Vacuum leaks at the intake manifold, vacuum hose connections or throttle body. (Use a vacuum gauge to check for low intake vacuum)

* Leaky EGR valve. (Check operation of EGR valve)

* Leaky PCV Valve or hose. (Check valve and hose connections)

* Dirty or defective Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). (Try cleaning the MAF sensor wires or filament with aerosol electronics cleaner. Do NOT use anything else to clean the sensor, and do not touch the sensor wires)
