1994 Mazda Truck replace spark plugs and spark plug harness

There are two plugs that under my intake manifold. Is it nesessary to remove it get to the plugs, if so how big of a project is it?

remove the intake manifold to get to them easily, also while you have it off clean out the intake manifold ports and the intake plenum, and put on a new gasket, consider this a good time for maintenance on the air intake.
